Text Message Alert Service

Register Your NumberThe University of Connecticut has created a text message alert service as one method to contact members of the UConn community in the event of an emergency. Please register your cell phone today.

It's easy to do - follow the registration link, log in using your NetID and password, and then enter your cell phone number and provider. While UConn's text message alert service is free of charge, your cell phone provider may charge a fee for delivery of messages based on your current calling plan.

This is an optional service that will be used primarily for potential, developing, or existing emergencies. You will receive a UConn text message alert advising you of the situation and directing you to additional information.

Read the Frequently Asked Questions for more information about the text message alert service.
